HAUS KUNDE

FAQ

Find answers to common questions
about commissioning a project and how we work.

Service

  • What services do you offer?

We cover the full range of branding and content production — brand identity, logos, package design, e-commerce detail pages, product photography, brand films, AI content and website design.

  • What kinds of brands do you work with?

We work with brands across many categories, including cosmetics, medical devices, health functional foods, beauty devices, F&B, fashion and lifestyle. We are especially strong in fields with strict labeling and advertising regulations.

  • Can I commission only product photography or only a detail page?

Yes. You can commission individual services such as product photography or a detail page on their own. From full branding projects to single tasks, we work at whatever stage your brand is in.

  • We already have a brand identity. Can you work within it?

Yes. Send us your brand guidelines or existing materials and we will plan and produce to match their tone and mood. If you don't have guidelines, we analyze your existing content to keep everything consistent.

  • Can you also connect us with manufacturing (OEM / ODM)?

Yes. Beyond product planning, we offer OEM/ODM promotion services covering container selection, carton (folding box) production, and selection of raw materials and fillers. We can also help if you do not yet have a registered cosmetics distributor (Responsible Seller) in Korea — just ask.

Regulation / AI

  • Can you produce content for strictly regulated products (cosmetics, health functional foods, medical devices)?

This is KUNDE's core area. We create copy and images based on Korea's labeling and advertising laws — the Cosmetics Act, the Health Functional Foods Act and the Medical Devices Act — and MFDS notices and guidelines, and we continuously reflect changes in these regulations.

We have brought out selling points within permitted expressions even for products classified as Class 4 medical devices, such as fillers and treatment devices.

  • Do you handle advertising review on our behalf?

KUNDE's planners come from the cosmetics industry and provide accurate copy and planning that comply with MFDS regulations and advertising law. We remove risky expressions at the production stage to minimize the chance of administrative action.

However, the acceptable range of expression differs from brand to brand, so please tell us the range you want during consultation. Please note that KUNDE is not responsible for any administrative action related to deliverables produced based on what was agreed.

In Korea, health functional foods and medical devices require advertising pre-review: health functional foods by the Korea Health Supplements Association, and medical devices by the Korea Medical Devices Industry Association.

  • Are AI-generated images a problem on sales platforms (Coupang, Smart Store, etc.)?

Legal enforcement in Korea is still moving more slowly than AI technology itself. That said, we do not recommend careless use that infringes copyright or portrait rights.

Responsibility after the content is used lies with the brand using it, not with the creator. Many problems arise when brands use AI without understanding portrait-rights and copyright issues, so caution is needed.

Whether AI images feel “natural” or “beautiful” is a highly personal judgment, and many consumers react negatively to them, so commercial use calls for care.

Overseas beauty markets such as Japan and Europe tend to be more resistant to AI content than Korea. It is worth tailoring your production approach to the countries where you plan to sell.

Consultation / Contract

  • What is the process?

It varies by project, but we follow a sequential process: confirming the quote through consultation → brand interview form → planning document → design.

  • How long does production take?

Package design typically takes up to 5 business days, and an all-in-one detail page 2–3 weeks. Because our schedule may already be booked, it is best to contact us about a month before you need the deliverables.

  • How many rounds of revisions are included?

Two rounds are standard depending on the type of work; when several tasks are combined, additional revisions are provided per task. Revisions to fix our own mistakes or unreflected requests are unlimited.

  • How do contracts and payment work?

We work with a 50% deposit and 50% balance, and we can issue a tax invoice. Installment payments are possible depending on project size; details are agreed at contract.

  • What about font and image licenses?

We use fonts licensed for commercial use and paid images and music, and we explain the scope of use when we deliver. If you need extended licenses — for broadcast or outdoor advertising, for example — let us know in advance and we will prepare accordingly.

  • Is there a usage period limit for shoots featuring models?

We have a list of more than 150 models, and shooting and usage terms differ by model, so terms need to be agreed with the model you select.

Shoot / Deliverables

  • What do we need to prepare for a shoot?

Just send us the products. If anything else is needed, we will let you know once the plan is confirmed.

  • Where is your studio?

    4F–5F, 18 Gimsangok-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea.

The 4th floor is the Haus Kunde office, where planning, design and photo editing take place; the 5th floor houses a cyclorama and product-shoot zones for product and model photography.

  • Can we attend the shoot?

Yes — attending at our own studio is free of charge, and we can provide parking for one car.

KUNDE STUDIO has separate photographers for products and models, so in a single visit you can watch and approve both product and model shoots.

When shooting at an external studio, that studio's terms apply.

  • Can we commission you from outside Seoul or from overseas?

Yes. Send us your products and everything from the shoot to delivery is handled remotely; brands from several countries already work with us this way. We share the plan and shoot results step by step, so we confirm the direction together even when working remotely.

  • We are preparing to sell overseas or export. What can you support?

Each country expects different image styles and file formats, so we tailor photography and content to the countries where you sell. We also provide translated detail page versions for each country and website production, and for overseas trade fairs we prepare what you need on site — retouched photos for print, brochures and leaflets, booth images and social content.

  • In what form will we receive the deliverables?

Final files (JPG, GIF, MP4) are delivered via a cloud link. Source files (PSD, AI) are available for separate purchase.

  • Can we download the files again later?

After all work is complete, the cloud link stays active for 7 days. We keep files long-term after that, but they may be deleted during data clean-up, so please download them within the period.

  • How do we request a consultation?

Contact us via the inquiry form or email. If you include product information, the scope of work and your schedule, our first reply will outline the scope and an estimated quote.

Support Program

  • Can we pay with Korean government startup support funds (e.g., Pre-Startup Package, Early-Stage Startup Package)?

Yes. HAUS KUNDE is a registered industrial design company (general) and a KIDP-certified company, and we deliver branding, detail pages, packaging, photography and websites funded by startup programs such as the Pre-Startup, Early-Stage Startup and Startup Leap Packages, as well as small-business support programs.

Each program has its own spending rules (quotes, contracts, tax invoices, result-report formats), so we prepare documents to match the program's rules.

  • Can you adjust the scope to fit the program budget?

Yes. Share the items in your business plan and the allocated budget, and we will split the scope across branding, detail pages, packaging and photography and quote accordingly. We start with the highest priorities within the budget and can move the rest to a later stage.

  • Can you provide materials for the program's result report?

Along with the deliverable files, we organize a statement of work and process documentation. If a specific document format is required for settlement, let us know in advance and we will prepare it accordingly.
